The journey that has brought me here...

I absolutely love baking. I not only love making cakes and decorating them, but I love trying challenging recipes. I dream of one day taking classes that would allow me to better hone my skills, but for now I'll have to settle for what I can learn through local classes at the arts and craft stores as well as what I can teach myself.

I started seriously baking within the past ten years. I was a dorm parent who had to care for over 36 girls in a residence and needed something to pass the time. So, we baked. Sometimes we did it together, at other times I would prepare desserts for our movie nights. In any case, I was hooked.

Now, years later, I bake for my family and friends. I am currently taking a class that has already given me some better insight into the craft. I can't believe how much I have already learned!
